Right now I am laying in bed. I am full from my cheeseburger & Carmel milk shake. I am creating this post from my iPhone since we don't have Internet here. Right now I am wanting an iPad to make this so much easier. Right now I want to create. I went to stampers corner in elk grove today. Right now I have scrap supplies with me but no photos to scrap. Right now I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings, maybe another shopping adventure? Right now I'm curious what tv shows are on tonight since we don't have cable. Right now I wish we had Internet. Right now I am thankful for this vacation house!
Have a great memorial weekend!
What are you doing right now?

This week I am trying out for echo parks “fresh faces” monthly design team.
I need to create 3 projects using their paper.
It’s funny I didn’t have to run out and buy any of their product because I already had some. Yep. In my stash I had all this paper waiting for a project.
In my last post I wrote about my new favorite apps on my iphone. I printed the photo strips and they worked fabulous with the line “for the record”.
-all product echo park unless listed
-paper my minds eye
-letters, AC Thickers, October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket
-Webster’s Pages whimsies
-Martha Stewart Punch
-buttons, lace, bakers twine, from personal stash
I just love they way this Layout turned out. This one will be on my desk for a while as inspiration!
Next up I made a little 4x4 card. The yellow gingham and the black polka dot just spoke to me as a friendly little card. It is so cute and was so simple I need to make a few more.
-all product Echo park unless listed
-letters AC Thickers, Making Memories
I found this polka dot bag in my stash. I had gotten it from the dollar section at target during Valentines Day. It matched with the paper so well I used it. I just simply cut out the roses from “table Cloth” and adhered them. Of course it need the butterflies, to finish off the garden them.
-all product Echo park unless listed
-Martha Stewart Punch
-Bag from Target
Hope you enjoyed these projects, now they are off in an email to be submitted!

This weekend I went to Bakersfield for a race with my family. Of course I had to find the local scrapbooking store. I found myself at Simply Scrapbooking. This was an awesome store, by far one of the largest I have been to. The girls there were so nice & friendly. They were also very helpful. I always have a mental list of product that I am hunting for & this store scored very well.
So well that I went back later in the evening.
I also finally got apps on my iphone. Yeas I have had it for X amount of months now. So I got my apps and I played with like a kid on Christmas morning. I am so sure my family is sick of me documenting there every move, but the different “lenses & film” are so fun… I got hipstamatic camera, instagram, photo booth in my pocket, & of course a 8mm movie camera. I had a total blast with all of them! Oh yeah I also got the facebook app for my phone and now I am mobile. This is dangerous. I never before could upload straight from my phone, or “check in” anywhere, the world shouldn’t be so lucky to have me documenting everything! lol
hip-pic of Kevin
and of course the photobooth strips
what did you do this weekend?

Cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze, an ache here and a sore throat there. Yes I am finally feeling better after a weeklong hiatus.
Latest happenings, I won a NSD creative crop challenge on BPC, and received a wonderful product pack from Bella Blvd. Thanks so much to all the contributing sponsors of the BPC creative crop challenge and of course BPC for hosting it.
winning layout
2nd up I didn’t get on the one design team, so sad =( but that’s ok I have plenty more applications out there.
3rd I won a giveaway at AC Studio Blog. AC is truly my favorite company. From all the shows I have attended to visiting their office, these are truly my favorite people.
here is a look from their blog:
Congratulations to the randomly selected winner of the Flowers & Butterflies giveaway, Aimee Maddern:
Is this what you thought I would say?
And this is the totaly awsome product pack I will be recieving
And let me tell you how generous they are. They always have soda and water to offer, to sharing a table at meals with me at a show I was attending alone, to giving me some paper racks! Thanks guys! This totally lifted my spirits after I didn’t get the job yesterday, and got me back in the saddle to create for more teams.
I am away at the race team in Bakersfield this weekend, anyone know of a scrapbooking store near hear? Maybe Fresno? I love checking out sore on the road.
Happy Scrapping

National Scrapbooking Day was Saturday. I had already agreed to work the Salvation Army Fashion Show, before I realized it was NSD. I really wish I had gotten to go to a store and crop, but I had a good day anyways. I signed up for the creative crop at BPC knowing I wasn’t going to be able to get the challenges till later in the evening, or even another day. I got a chance Saturday night and then starting getting a sore throat. I didn’t do anything on Sunday till about 7pm and I busted out 2 more layouts. I combined the 12 challenges into 3 layouts. Ok I didn’t do all 12. It feels great to see my work in a finished product since I feel so crappy. Here is a little lookie:
LO #1
Challenges: 1-use text in project(cut text from a book) 2-10 products, 10 words(ok so there are not 10 words), 10 techniques(staples, stamping, stiching, punching, distressing, I don't know all that counts but there are more obvious ones) 4-use woodgrain 5-create a photo mat with 2 supplies(ribbon, lace & paper) 6-think outside of the box( this is a 11x11 LO the yellow strip is 12x12 so it hangs off the page but still fits into a page protector) 7-add a banner(washi tape)
LO #2
Challenges: 2-10(products)/10(words)/10(techniques) 4-woodgrain
10- use this sketch(there was a sketch to follow) ps I hate my handwriting! that is why I always print
LO #3
Challenge: 8-incorperate journaling into design(the S w/spring) This is a digital LO so all the elements of the layout are on the computer. I used Adobe elements to layer the "papers" & "tags"
This is a challenge in it's self, learning digital scrapbooking is fun and rewarding,
all though I love to fell physical product!
Happy Scrapping!

So it starts off with, I was at Target last week and found this cute yellow bag. (I have an obsession with yellow right now) WOW this is a cute bag, and it’s on sale for $ 9.99. Instantly it was in my cart. Then I thought it would be so much cuter with some bling on it. So off to Michaels. At Michaels I was looking for some bling and couldn’t find any so I went to the scrapbooking section to look for some. I really wanted a gold rhinestone, and I needed multiple. I did find a package but it wasn’t priced, so I threw it in the cart and continued to look. I then found these mini gems on sale for $ 1.19. So I went with the sale gems instead of the gold ones I really wanted. The bag still looks great, but I wish I had gotten the gold for that extra punch. Oh well
the bag before
Aleene's Jewel-it & Recollections Boutique fleur
gluing the bling on
all done, can you tell?
gold would of stood out more, next time
up close
I just made small dots in the center of each design. placed the bling on top so the glue pushed out. The glue dried clear, some the glue shows a bit but dosen't look bad.
Hope you enjoyed.
Any crafting this weekend?

Last night Jacob friended me on facebook. Yes my Jacob. It’s so weird he is 12. And at that point I realized 12 years just flashed in front of my eyes.
I started watching Jacob April of 1999 he was just 2 months old, I was 19. This little boy became a big part of my life. When he turned 4 I stopped watching him and a year later his family moved to Chico. I could sit here and type up dozen and dozen’s of stories but I wont bore you with that I will just show some random pictures from his first 5 years. OMG he is 12 & I am 32! I miss him in my life soooo much and this truly brought tears to my eyes.
