The Pi Girls, got to work with Ruby Rock It’s Cook Range -that’s Australian for line ::insert foster’s beer commercial voice::

 

 I am so excited to share this project with you. I got the cookbook to work with, which is ironic since I don’t cook! But nonetheless I rocked it. {ruby rock it-get it} I have some family recipes that really need to written down, along with some others I do use occasionally. I also used some photos of my recent garden to embellish the pages.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wanted to keep the book really simple, so I could add pages at a later time and not have to worry about them not matching. I simply typed the recipes and printed them out on white cardstock. I adhered them to the paper pages that came with the album. I also used some American Crafts 4x6 page protectors, for the small recipes.

 I also used some of the 12x12 papers from the line to help embellish the pages. I absolutely love this punch. It’s so awesome to just punch a scrap and have an instant embellishment. I also printed out in a really small size font some labels. I just cut the text out, and then stapled it right onto the sticker tab that came with the cookbook.

I made 3 tag shaped cards

Here my first card, “Sail Away With Me”

I used Samantha’s All Boy Clear Stamps

from JustRite for the sailboat and sentiment.

I also used the Buntings and Button Dies from JustRite to make the waves.

And the cute background paper is from Samantha’s Giddy Up

6x6 blue paper pad from Carta Bella

 

         

 

Here is my second card “#1”

Again I used the same stamp set as the first card,

Samantha’s All Boy Clear Stamps from JustRite to stamp

the badge and #1 sentiment.

I hand cut the badge, but I used the Vintage Labels Three die from JustRite

to create the flower like background layers.

I also used Samantha’s Giddy Up 6x6 blue paper pad from Carta Bella

 

         

 

 

And for my third card “Scoot Right On Over”

I used the same stamp set, Samantha’s All Boy Clear Stamps from JustRite for the scooter and sentiment.

Ialso again used Samantha’s Giddy up line from Carta Bella,

but this time I used the pink paper pad.

instafriday: week 24

 

Another week down!

OMG we are like have way through the year! That’s crazy talk. Once again I survived random things. What’s surprising to is I feel totally unconnected from social media this week. I felt like I never instagramed, never Facebooked. When I sat down to write this post I saw I had taken way more photos then I thought. I seriously thought I wasn’t gonna have enough this week. Don’t fear, I took plenty! In fact it was hard to pick which ones to share today. I wont hold out on you any longer, here they are!

 

 

YES, this happened a rat pooped on my vanity. In fact he is still locked in my bathroom! That’s a whole nother story.

Ye this happened… but then it didn’t. It takes like 20 hours for the bowl to fully freeze. So no Lemon sorbet for me on Thursday night. {{insert sad face}}

This month’s theme is summer. Living in so cal. summer is ALMOST year round… Almost!

I decided to make something with Samantha’s fabric. I am loving this cute fabric banner.

I tied it up in my backyard for photos, and I never took it down.

Through rain and snow… OK no snow. Its still up and looks fabulous.

It gives my backyard a little shabby chic touch. I love it!

I also love that it will look festive for 4^th of July, Bonus!

a day in the life: may 31 2013

 

Hello Saturday….

 

Well I finally finished it. A day in the life, that is. I finally found a template I liked. It’s a simple scrapper premium membership sketch. I also purchased AC digitals Lucky Charm to work with.

It’s a little busy, but that okay. I think I wanted that. I plan on having it printed from Persnickety Prints as a 12x12 and I will slip it in with my Project Life Album.

 

 

 

8:45-woke up

8:50-go to my office and get my phone

8:50-snuggle/social media time

9:23-breakfast

9:40-forgot to do my banking earlier in the week

9:52-back home and reading my e-mail

10:05-mail arrives, PandaEIGHT flair is here! YAY

10:20- go take pictures of work

12:03- marking of things on my to do list

1:03- go outside for a little break, Hello lizard

1:08-first apricots of the season

1:14-another little snuggle and social media sesh

1:59-nap time

3:57-Kevin has been cleaning the garage. These 2 helpers found a bed out there

5:01-of to the notary

6:01-stopped for a little pick me up, Black ice tea and lemon pops

7:38-hosing down the driveway

7:46-hanging in the hammock

9:28-fresh out of the shower

9:59-start some laundry

10:02-pill time

 

*I had hung the lights earlier in the day and was checking them out after dark

** Yes the last 2 pictures are mixed up, but totally cool with that

 

This is pretty much an average day around here. Minus eating, and the regular appointments.

 

I love that I took the time to do this. What’s funny is on Wednesday when I woke up I had this feeling to do “a day in the life”. But I didn’t follow through with it. So when I saw that Ali was doing it on Friday, I joined in.
