Presidents weekend 2014 we loaded our RV and headed south!

 

First we stopped off at Lego land on Friday you can read that post here. After a day at Lego land we hopped back in the RV and headed to San Diego. Of course this is California and we hit traffic as soon as we got on the freeway! A 40-mile trip turned into a 2-hour drive! Any ways we ended up at Silver Strand State Beach to meet up with my BFF and others for a weekend of fun in the sun.

We definitely will be going back!

legoland:

For Valentines Day we went to Lego land… Ok really what happened is when I went to the Mall of America for Scrapfest last year; I was amazed with the Lego store. So with the Lego movie coming out I wanted to go to Lego land. Can you believe I had never been there? So for Christmas Kevin gave me tickets for Lego land. Presidents weekend we were doing to San Diego to the beach to meet up with friends. I figured lets leave a day earlier and use our tickets for Lego land. It just happened to be Valentines Day!

We packed our RV up and headed south Thursday night. We stayed in Carlsbad just 5 miles from Lego land. We woke up to the best day weather and view we could have asked for! Happy Valentines Day to ME!

How cute is this couple! They waddled up to us for some Starbucks. Seriously how cute is this couple begging for food together on Valentines Day!

We had a super great day. It was super laid back. Lego land wasn’t to busy. The weather was perfect. Our only complaint about the whole place was the Legos were pretty faded. It seriously needs some sprucing up. But besides that I was super happy with our trip and I can know cross Lego land off the bucket list!
